We’re very pleased that Rebecca Johnson, our Head of Health, Safety & Environment, will be judging the Impact in Structures – Contractor category at the NCE Awards 2026.
This category recognises contractors who can demonstrate innovation, quality, value and measurable impact across the built environment and Rebecca’s role aligns closely with that focus.
As Head of HSE, Rebecca brings a whole-life view of construction performance, looking beyond programme and cost to consider how structural solutions affect people, processes and the environment. She also has extensive experience assessing complex construction methodologies, temporary works and permanent structures, ensuring innovation is not only ambitious, but also safe, buildable and compliant.
A key strength Rebecca will bring to the judging process is her emphasis on evidence and outcomes, including improvements in areas such as safer sequencing, buildability, incident reduction and environmental performance. She also understands the importance of supply chain collaboration and the role contractors play in influencing standards across subcontractors, designers and suppliers.
Rebecca will bring an independent, evidence-based and practical perspective to the panel, helping to ensure the winner is not only commercially successful, but also technically excellent, responsible and truly impactful.
Good luck to all entrants!
