Meet Our Head of Technical Services at EPS – Darren Picken

With nearly three decades in the construction industry, Darren’s career has been shaped by a lifelong fascination with engineering and complex systems.

Throughout his career, Darren has been fortunate to gain experience across a wide range of sectors, including automotive manufacturing, healthcare, life science, education projects and super-prime commercial residential. Over the last few years, Darren has worked on project for BMW Mini, New College University and LIHE KCL Healthcare/Life Science, which has been recognised for their landmark achievements in life science and biomedical training.

Away from EPS, you’ll likely find Darren on the golf course or in the boxing gym. Darren’s lesser-known skill is bringing people together. It is something he has developed over the years, and in his experience half of complex problem-solving is getting the right people aligned behind the same goal.

Darren commented “I joined EPS because I was drawn to the technically challenging, high-complexity projects and a team that shares the same passion for engineering excellence. Having known the company’s reputation through a former colleague, it was a natural next step.”
