EPSCM owner Jamie Cole has completed an epic 100km charity walk in support of Cancer Research UK, raising vital funds and awareness for the cause.

Jamie took on the challenge as part of the Ultra Challenge Series, setting off at 7:10am from the stunning West Dean Gardens in Sussex. With humid conditions from the outset, the flat and scenic opening through Chichester Harbour gave a deceptive sense of ease. The reality, however, soon set in.

“The first 50km felt manageable—then the hills hit, the cramps kicked in, and I knew I was in for a long, painful second half,” Jamie said. “It became a case of sheer willpower.”

Despite hours of discomfort, Jamie pressed on through a brutal combination of walking, shuffling, and cramp management, drawing strength from the generosity of donors and the spirit of the cause.

“Knowing that every step was helping support Cancer Research UK kept me moving. The support has been incredible—and deeply humbling,” he said.

After just under 13 hours, Jamie crossed the finish line, having taken a staggering 118,143 steps in total.

“This has been one of the toughest, most meaningful things I’ve done,” Jamie said. “To everyone who donated, guessed, encouraged, and walked some of the journey with me—thank you. I couldn’t have done it without you.”
